Getting Started with Arma Reforger

This guide will walk you through setting up your Arma Reforger server and connecting for the first time.

Step 1: Access Your Server

  1. Log in to the Game Panel
  2. Select your Arma Reforger server
  3. Wait for the initial installation to complete (this may take 10-15 minutes on first setup)

Step 2: Configure Startup Settings

Go to the Startup tab to configure your server’s basic settings:

Available Scenarios

The default scenario IDs you can use:

You can view all available scenarios in the console when the server starts. Look for lines listing scenario IDs.

Step 3: Start Your Server

  1. Go to the Console tab
  2. Click Start to launch your server
  3. Wait for the message: Starting RPL server
  4. Your server is now online!

Step 4: Connect to Your Server

Method 1: Direct Connect

  1. Launch Arma Reforger
  2. Go to MultiplayerDirect Join
  3. Enter your server IP and port (shown in the Game Panel under Network)
  4. Enter the server password if set
  5. Click Join

Method 2: Server Browser

  1. Launch Arma Reforger
  2. Go to MultiplayerServer Browser
  3. Search for your server name
  4. Select your server and click Join
It may take a few minutes for your server to appear in the server browser after starting.

Step 5: Verify Connection

Once connected, you should:
  • See yourself in the lobby or spawning into the scenario
  • Be able to open the in-game menu
  • See other players if they join

Server Information

Find your connection details in the Game Panel:
  • Network tab shows your server IP and ports
  • Game Port - Main connection port
  • A2S Query Port - Steam query port (17777)
  • RCON Port - Remote console (19999)
