Having issues with your Conan Exiles server? This guide covers common problems and their solutions.Server Won’t Start
Check the Console
First, check the console output for error messages:- Go to your server in the Game Panel
- Click the Console tab
- Look for red error messages
Common Startup Issues
'Out of Memory' Error

Cause: Server doesn’t have enough RAM for your configuration.Solution:
- Reduce max player count
- Remove some mods
- Upgrade to a higher RAM plan
'Port Already in Use' Error

Cause: Another process is using the server port.Solution:
- Stop all servers on your account
- Wait 30 seconds
- Start your Conan server
- If it persists, contact support
Server Stuck on 'Starting'

- Wait 5-10 minutes (first startup can be slow)
- If still stuck, click Kill then Start

- Server updates automatically - just restart it

Cause: Player doesn’t have required mods or has wrong versions.Solution:
- Share your mod list with players
- Have them subscribe to all required mods
- Players should verify game files on Steam
'Password Incorrect'

Cause: Player entered wrong password.Solution:
- Verify the server password in Startup tab
- Share correct password with players
- If changed recently, restart the server
Direct Connect Not Working
- Verify you’re using the correct IP and port
- Check the Network tab for your server’s IP
- Default port is
7777 - Format:
IP:7777(e.g.,123.45.67.89:7777)

Admin Password Not Working
- Verify password in ServerSettings.ini or Startup tab
- Restart the server after changing password
- In-game: Escape → Settings → Server Settings → Enter password → Make Me Admin
World and Save Issues
World Reset/Corruption
If your world was reset:- Check the Backups tab for recent backups
- Restore from the most recent backup
- If no backups, the world may be unrecoverable
Restoring a Backup
- Go to Backups in the Game Panel
- Find the backup you want to restore
- Click Restore
- Wait for restoration to complete
- Start your server

- Download backups periodically for off-site storage
- Backup before making major changes or adding mods

Mods Not Loading
